March 24, 2003 - www.xanga.com/mybumbum
music: justin timberlake "rock your body" & john mayer/matt mangano "break away" hey everyone... i am thinking of migrating back into the xanga.com site... diaryland has served me well since way back in 2001... i love it cause i can do my own layouts and tweak with whatever, but its a little harder to use and i don't have that whole community thing that i loved in xanga. so, ill jump the xanga bandwagon and use that one more, just to see if i'm more comfy w/ it. here's the address: www.xanga.com/mybumbum ~ja matte!

March 15, 2003 - yes, i fold my TP. (part 2)
music: john mayer "my stupid mouth" & TQ "west side" (you know... from LA, to the Bay, whatchu say... every damn day) & AFI "girls not grey" & ben folds five "brick" at home home right now. horray for home home, especially when i can't cook seafood at all in irvine... starving in irvine with super spicy wasabi peas as my only sustenance. haha. last night, we had 2 big fried catfish and rice... a lot of my aunts and uncles were there too... food coma-ed for like several hours :-D. Its also raining right now... i love it when it rains *once in a while*... it changes it up. so i'm really trying to study, but its not working, just cause 1) i'm on the computer... lol. or 2) biochem is just scary hard. eeeh... ...oh, let me explain the title of this blog. hehe. funny stuff. so i went to the main library to go get some books. and once again i needed to go to the bathroom to do my duty. so it happens i go to the same bathroom the same floor... and fortunately there's TP. but, the TP dispenser has its lid off, so the whole roll is exposed. So, when i'm done w/ my duty, i pull the TP and then when i try to rip the paper, the whole roll falls off the dispenser and rolls onto the other side of the room. big doh! on my part. so, like a moron, since the TP i was trying to rip was still attached to the roll, i just continue to wipe as normal, carefully not ripping the roll itself. and hoping that some guy doesn't come in and straight laugh at me. haha. i think that bathroom doesn't like me. the same night, mark, earl and i had our spop letters. we promised each other we'd open it together... and so we did that in the cross... and we all got it! wooohoo! ifelt kinda bad though, cause baucas was right there and he didn't make it... and we were hella celebrating, jumping up and down... the whole deal. it was during the kaba meeting, so i figured everyone else was like... whatever. but yeah! i made it! not to sound bad or anything, i am officially an elitist again! woooohooo! haha. My mom/mom's immediate family seems to be pro-war. I think since my parents were the most successful and my mom was the oldest in her family, everyone else follows their lead. but wow... i was kinda feeling really sick when they were talking about changing french fries to "freedom fries"... my mom and uncles/auntes were french bashing... ah well. at least my dad is anti-war. i also had a scare on friday... my classes were about to be dropped because i had my records on hold... turns out that they didn't receive the payments for the pre-health conference student center fees ($650.50)... and it was billed under my name... so if i didn't pay for it by saturday, all my classes would have been dropped... so i went to admin/campus billing services to complain, then went to asuci to almost complain to bob... but before doing that, i checked the desk for reimbursement checks. Fortunately, they had a check ready for me for $650.50. thank god! so i immediately deposited the money and went back to admin to pay up. phew. ok, back to studying. ~ja matte!
March 12, 2003 - yes, i fold my TP.
music: rufus wainwright "hallelujah" (shrek) & bush "glycerine" & mandy more "only hope" today was a good day! i woke up before my alarm, which i never did these past 3 weeks, and was able to go to all of my classes! yay! they were kinda dragging but still, i got to go fulfill my primary reason for going to this school! so during lunch break i ate w/ gerrald and geoff (and later laura) at the terrace. thank god for those guys, cause i thought i was the only one feeling certain things about what goes on in the cross.. sure, i'd play a couple of games just to pass the time, but they've come to a point where its just really disturbing the "flow" (typing that instantly reminded myself of that one movie with the black dude as a martial arts expert and then he gets the "glow". yeah you know what i'm talking about! sorry tangent) of the cross... there's just so much noise and all taht harmony just gets lost in the cross... eck. whatever so after that we had the directors meeting. YAY! i'm sooo excited to what we have planned for the board members! they'll love everything! We prepared this retreat so much faster than the last ones... only a total of about 6-8ish hours! score! they'll just have to wait and see. all i can say is that next quarter is something to be excited about. case in point: us four decided on having office hours in the *clean* kabuso cubicle (i've got tuesdays & thursdays)! that's gonna be fun. we're gonna hella use the cubicle as if we were paid for our position! so afterwards, studied and studied mah bizzut off for the o chem lab final tomorrow. only thing that really sucks - i have no shame in saying it - is that i had to do my duty in the library... you know, your patriotic, natural duty. so i was doing the business, helpin' the ecology, when i see that there's no more TP in the only stall in the bathroom... i think i literally cursed out loud in that toilet... pretty loud. so i had the next best thing around... got those toilet seat covers, folded them up into nice squares, and hoped for the best. after studying, i came back home and fancied myself on some good 2-ply... once again, no shame, cause i know it happens to everyone at least once in their lifetime! forreals. but all in all, things have been looking up for the week. lets just hope that the spop letters don't take it down... cause i know i'm gonna come in for a HARD fall. ~ja matte!
March 11, 2003 - a pick up line to save our economy
music: too many songs i've been listening to that i can't remember i got this from a friend's blog and i think this is one truly awesome pick up line: ics pick up line: baby, you're so hot, i gotta put heatsinks on my processor so i don't overload my hard drive HAHAH! that's knee-slappin' fun right there. i think that's the best pick-up line EVER.
So, anyway, i was going to write a big big blog entry for last week (we FINALLY got permanent Tagalog *up to 1C!) and of all the things that happened this thursday and this weekend, but they're was just soo much that happened that its hard to recall... i'll try, though. School is school... eh. so on monday 03.03.03... we fought for the whole afternoon for Tagalog studies. It was really crazy seeing that many people (even non-filipinos) wanting tagalog studies on campus. i even saw tricia, one of my SP's in Sierra, on the lawn! that was random + crazy! i think there were upwards to more than 125 people on that lawn. gen and i for sure passed out around 89 stickers to people... and the other security guards had at least 3 sheets of 8 stickers... they all used them up (there were 5 security people at the time)... so that's quite a bit of people on campus. The ruling came out pretty easy - we didn't have to do civil disobedience or hunger strike (phew!) - but i thought it was a little too easy... i think we still need to be on the adminstration's jock to really get the rest of the classes. Big accomplishment and thanks to the p-community because w/o them this would never be as successful as it was. onto thursday. The brotherhood forum for yfc. YAY! i loved every second of it. threw away all my inhibitions before i went in and just expected nothing. a good portion of it reminded me of when i was in sigep with all those serenades and the fraternal "bonding" event things. haha. nostalgia. i've let go of one of my most cherished shirts - the sierra shirt that had everyone's painted fingerprints on it because of the touch game - to put onto our super secret quilt... i mean, MAN BLANKET. afterwards was the serenading part. it was a good happy moment cause at that point i was giddy like a little school girl cause i gave flowers to "colt" and she gave me back her sister gift of the bag, a card, and the cross necklace... extremely giddy cause she went straight to me! yay! i was even more giddy when, after mass on sunday she hit me! right in the chest too! yay! anyway. yeah, enough of that middle school love stuff (haha). to me, i think this is just more of an infatuation - idunno. we'll see. so... friday. the night of 50,000,000 parties. I swear, i knew of at least 5 of the 50,000,000 parties going on in irvine that night ;o). crazy, i guess people partied before 10th/finals week before they needed to study. i only (lol sounds like i'm a party animal) went to 2. the first one was with joel, an old sierran, that was leaving because his marine unit got activated... it was his going away gathering... he's such a young guy too... i can't believe that this is happening in the world today. !!! after that gathering was melissa's/corina's birthday party. i was kinda sorta dropped off that night so i could wait for the yfc guys/girls to come in after their praisefest practice, but when i got there, there was not a single person i knew except for melissa and corina. but i did get to meet a pseudo-crazy guy that cooks food for a living, a dude that drinks like 5-10 beers and then says he's still sober enough to drive (wow.) and then a kaba alum kuya knew that didn't go by the "usual string of questions" (i. how's kuya? ii.how's jan? iii. are they getting married?). Then the yfc guys got there and we drank a little... just a tad.. mark anthony got a buzz and then all of a sudden we see melissa being carried over to her bedroom from the outside of her apartment... a little too much to drink, i suppose. we took care of her and then headed on our way. sat. and sunday were blah. there wasn't anyone in the apartment... kuya went up north and brian went back home, so all that happened was just me on the computer and 3 SOLID hours of studying. go vince! pff. sometimes i would just like to go back to time and just erase some of the things i've said... but what's past is past, and i think it happened for a reason. ~ja matte!
